Background

McDonald Jones Homes are the biggest home builder in NSW. But it’s another story across the border in Queensland, where established brands have ruled the roost for years. With Brisbane being one of the most competitive and sophisticated markets leading the new housing market, a new brand had to cut through the clutter.

Objective

To tackle this market head on, the MJH Group decided to create their own sub brand. Our job was to create it from the ground up. But first, Queensland-specific research groups were held to understand the unique aspects of the consumer in this market.

Campaign

The brand we created literally ‘speaks’ with the consumer; with nuggets of warm human dialogue to be found from the brochures to the interaction with sales staff.  We have worked with the client to create an internal brand so that ALL Brighton staff (from drafts people to salespeople) are unified and inspired by our brand positioning of ’Let life in’.

Results

Brighton continues to erode share from the major Queensland players, and are exceeding sales targets by 20%.
