Based on the outskirts of Sydney, Ironbark Distillery is a relatively young brand that’s already winning global awards for its approach to distilling. No trends, no gimmicks, just an unwavering focus on perfecting the original gin botanicals. But this is a story equally about people. Real and wonderful characters, obsessed by gin well before it was fashionable.
Recently acquired by global alcohol group Halewood International, Ironbark needed a global brand platform and branding system which could position the brand in Australia, Europe, Asia and North America.
With a new logo and bottle design already in place, we were tasked with developing a new brand system around it. As Real As It Gets positions both the product and the people behind it, allowing for the down-to-earth Australian character to shine through.
An honest tone in photography and narrative is supported by an earthy Australian colour palette and offset by sophisticated typography and layout to position this as an authentic gin brand of the highest standards.
